You Only Have ONE Life!! Spend It Wisely!!!

Hello again! It's Lauren here! I was out in the woods the other day when I saw some deer. They just froze and looked at me! I was thinking about how much God has made for me! I live here where a lot of animals live and yet I still felt like God had left something out. Well it was then and there that I realized most people can't come out there front door and see deer, foxes, raccoons, and even sometimes birds! Well I get to see all of that everyday and much more!! The evidence for creation is all around me and yet I fail to see it. God has made this entire universe and all I see when I come out of my house is a bunch of trees and dirt that have been there ever since I was born and long before that! I remember talking to my dad a few days ago about a similar thing. He was talking about eating. Yes I know that has absolutely nothing to do with this, but hold on a second. I'm going to make a point with this. My dad said that he had been listening to a talk show and the host of the show was talking about a good way to lose weight. Ok stay with me here! Anyways, the host said that you should sit down for every meal and eat one bite at a time. They said to take one bite and then stop for a second to enjoy it. They said the average person rushes though his/her meal with in ten minutes and eats way more then there body can handle. Well it's kind of the same with nature. People don't have the time to go watch a squirrel climb a tree or sit down and watch a deer drink from a stream, but they have enough time to surf the Internet and watch TV. People just rush though there days wondering how the next one will be. Well that's NOT how it works. God created this entire world for us to live on so we could glorify Him. But we are to rushed to sit down and praise God for what he has created, because we think it would be to boring. It is like telling God he made life to busy for us to look at what He has made! That is definitely NOT TRUE!!!! We are the ones who have made life so busy! God loves us and gave us what we needed to survive right from the beginning, but we wanted more because we are of a selfish nature! Chill out!!!!! Take a vacation. Go to the beach. Go to a park and watch a squirrel climb a tree. Spend time with your family and read the Bible! God gives us all we need to satisfy us!!! In the Bible!!!!!!! Now that summer is coming up you need to get out and enjoy life!! Ok enough preaching!!!!
I won't keep you much longer, I just want to tell you the good news!! I bought both of the movies that I've been tying to get the past few weeks! Hooray!!!!!! The movies I got came from Amazon.com. You can get movies cheaper there then in a store! I got movies that were supposed to be $20.00 dollars EACH(which would have been $40.00 dollars plus shipping which is $3.00 dollars per idem the total coming to about $46.00 dollars. I got them both for only $28.00 dollars!!!!! That also includes shipping costs!!! Ya man!!!!!!! Just incase you have been wondering the names of the movies, they are Moondance Alexander and Love's Unfolding Dream! Well I will talk to you later!!! Love you all!!

The Expander!!!

Hey there. Today I got my expander in. I do not like it at all, but my mom said that in a few weeks I will not really realize that it is there.

Here are some reasons why I don't like it!

1. I can not swallow very well . That is because the expander is on the roof of my mouth and that is were I put my tongue when I swallow.


2. There is a little gap in between the roof of my mouth and the expander and gets food stuck there a lot.


3. It is hard to eat because there is not much room in my mouth to chew the food with.


4. And last of all.........it hurts like the dickins. I would have to say I am glad that I got it now so that I get it done and over with sooner than later.

Well that is how I am doing. How are you doing? Oh here is a picture of my expander and the tool that my mom has to use to it with. And please pray for me. Please pray that my teeth do not hurt very badly. And that the time will pass fast so I can get it off. The Parade

Today my family went to a parade in Niles!! We sat with some of our friends. They were the Reevas, Suttons, and the Toledos. We all had so much fun together. The parade was the shortest and most UN entertaining one I have ever been to. It was about 15 to 20 minutes long. The one in Buchanan was about a hour long. We still had fun though, we had a lot of friends and some people across the street from us. Here is a picture of them.

I think it is very funny. My mom thought is was so funny that she took a picture of it. I have never seen a dog in a stroller at a parade. Well got to go talk to you later. Emily

Random Post!

Hey it's Lauren again. You guys are probably thinking, "what in the world does the title mean?". Well let me explain. Today I was talking to some friends of mine, from North Carolina,(I had called them on the cell phone) and we were talking about the blog and they said I wasn't writing much. Well I'm here to prove them wrong!! Um...... I don't exactly know what I'm going to say, but hey, it'll come to me! I hope!!! Well I could tell you about the conversation I had with Sharon and James Weeks. ( D. Hey Sharon, Jam+es!!!! Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!) Sorry fellow readers that's an inside joke between Sharon and I! Anyways let me get you up to date. I received a little more then $22.00 a while ago and decided to spend it on the Weeks kids. I love y'all!!! Well when they come up here for Family Camp every year we like to have a sleepover in there cabin. (The Weeks Children: Anna Carol, Sharon, and Mary. Herdklotz children: Lauren and Emily. Note: They have other children and we do too, but most of them are either to young or boys!) So we get stuff from the Snack Shop and watch a movie. Well last year we had to watch something they had seen over a hundred times. So this year I decided to get a movie that we hadn't seen a hundred times. Now back to today. I was asking Sharon and James what they wanted me to buy for the sleepover and Sharon kept telling me that she wanted to buy it all because I had done so much for them, but I told her NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then after trying, for more then five minuets,(Sharon take notice that I spelled "minuets" the way I said it was supposed to be spelled and it checks out on spell check!!!!!!!) to get me to say she could buy the movie or whatever (once she realized I wasn't going to change my mind) she told me the kindest thing anybody had ever told me. She said, " Lauren, you are sooooo sweet, kind, and nice"!!!!!!!!!!! I almost started crying right then and there!!!!!! It was the kindest, sweetest, most wonderful thing anybody had ever told me!!!!!! Normally I am told that I am to mean or to rough, but she actually called me nice!!!!!! Thanks Shace!!! I love you too!!!!! Anyways if y'all have any suggestions on any movies I could get, for the sleepover, that would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mrs. Karen Sutton my mom said you could TiVO a movie for me, if I were to pay for the DVD. The movies name is "Loves Unfolding Dream". If you could TiVO it for me that would be GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Soccer and Babysitting

Well hey it's Emily again. I like to talk to you guys, so I couldn't wait to talk to you again. Today was my last soccer game. My team won 12-1. I am so excited. This is sort of embarrassing, but every night before a soccer game my dad would give us all a foot rub (not Mommy though!). It was sort of like a good luck charm so that we would do good in the soccer game. Well it worked most of the time, but today it really worked. I did a good job and I scored a goal. It was first goal I had scored the whole season. I was so happy when I scored it. I even embarrassed myself when I scored the goal. I threw my hands up in the air and screamed. After I noticed that people were staring at me I put my hands down and told people that I did not do that. Then when I was on the sidelines, a kid started to throw his hands up and pretended to do what I did. I was so embarrassed! After the game my team had ice cream. It was nice to have a cold treat after a hot soccer game. I had to good bye and then it was time to leave.
Now to my other subject. After my soccer game my family came home and got ready to go to a friend's house. I did not go. I stayed home and watched Joel. We had so much fun together. We watched movies went on walks and ate dinner. We had pancakes for supper. He helped me make dinner. We had so much fun tonight. I love to watch Joel. He is so much fun to be around. Friends, toys, and fun!!!!!

Hey guys it's Lauren!! Sorry I haven't written in so long. I've been kind of busy lately. I had some friends over yesterday!!!! The Maxwell family!!!! The Maxwell's have four girls and there parents were my soccer coaches for two years!!! I LOVE there family!!! They are soooooo sweet!! The girls blog address is on the top of this page!!! Where it says other blogs we like or something like that!!!!!! Anyways!! We had them over yesterday. Mr. Maxwell came and gave my mom a new "toy" as she calls it!!! It is a new thing made for making videos and since my mom LOVES to make videos of the family the Maxwell's gave the video maker to her!!!! She LOVES it!!! Thanks Maxwell's!!! Well maybe thanks! You see she has been on the computer since she woke up this morning listening to the sound affects and watching the exits for the pictures!!!! It was so funny to watch!!! You would be sitting at the table or on the couch and suddenly you would here her say "Oh that's soooo cute" or " I like that one" or "Listen to this everyone" and our favorite " That one gives me a headache"!!!!!! It was sooooo funny!!! OK well back to the Maxwell's visit. When they got here all of the girls went outside and the parent's stayed inside. (except for my dad. He was @ work. Mr. Maxwell left after he showed my mom how to use the "toy"!!) I mostly played with there oldest, Adriana. Later on Adriana and I went inside and played Manuela. That was fun!! We had spaghetti for supper and then they left. It was really sad to see them go. I love there family!!!!! Come back soon you here Maxwell's!!!!!! We ALL love you guys!!! Well I better go!! The Swing

This is me when I was swinging on the swing. It was so much fun. I am glad that I got this on video yesterday, because when I woke up this morning the swing was GONE!!! I hope we find it soon.

Father Daughter Banquet

Well hey it's me Emily. Nice to talk to you again. I just thought that I would share some of the fun that I had Saturday night. To begin with there was a Father Daughter Banquet Saturday night the third. My dad took all of us girls to the Banquet. It was so much fun!!! I went to the Bearden's house to get ready. The Bearden's travel on the road with one of the Life Action teams. Mrs. Bearden bought Abby, her daughter, and I matching dresses. Here is a picture of us. Abby is on the left and I am on the right.

My dad and sisters and I sat with the Mann's and some people from their church. We talk and laughed a lot. The food was so good. Here is what we could eat. Steak and potatoes, chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese, And last of all Chicken cordon blue, rice and corn. I ate the Chicken cordon blue, rice and corn. It was so good. My dad takes us girls once every year. I really like to go with him. He is a lot of fun to be with. Well talk to you later.

Good News

Hey it's me Emily. As some of you know, my Grandfather is paying for me to get braces! I am SO excited. Some people say that it is horrible to get braces, but others say it is not a big deal. Well for a long time I have been trying to get two teeth out so that I can get my braces on. I got one out, but I could not seem to get the other one out. Well Wednesday was my lucky day. I got it out last night. I am so excited. Now I can get my braces on. YEAH!!! I want to get my braces on. So as soon as my mom and dad let me I well have on my braces. Oh by the way, I am missing a tooth and I might have to get a fake tooth put in in its place in a few years. I do not want to have to get a fake tooth. I have to go see a different orthodontist and get a consultation and see what he says. If he says something different I am going to go to him. Depending on which one is better. I just want it to be done and my braces on. Well got to go talk to you later.

Testing

Well hey there. Every other year our family does testing. We go to a church and we get tested on how well we are doing in school. I do not like to test, but I have to do it anyway. I have been really tired the past couple of days and testing is not going to help, because I have to get up at about 7:00 for three days straight. I do not like getting up at 7:00 in the morning. I especially do not want to get up at that time three days straight. Would you please pray that I am refreshed and not tired on this Monday,Tuesday, and Wednesday. Please pray especially for Wednesday, because I have to get up early and I have soccer practice that night. If any of you have anything you would like me to pray about please tell me. My new Cousin

Hey long time now talk. Guess what? I have a new cousin! He was adopted from Ethiopia. I am so glad. His name is Cameron Henok Herdklotz. He got here on Saturday night the 19th. He is the cutest little thing. Here is a picture of him. He was at the orphanage in Ethiopia in this picture. He has a teddy bear with him. And a great big smile. He seems to always have a smile on his face. Evey time I see him he always has a smile on. Isn't he a doll!!!


I have never actually talked to him yet because he is still adjusting. I hope he adjusts soon so that I can talk to him sooner. I think it is going to be an experience of a life time. I have seen him a lot playing at the play ground and at my cousin's house. You may think he looks like he is not a bit of a hand full, but he is a lot more then just a hand full. He just has SO much energy inside of him. And they say that his very disobedient. His mom told me this. He is very disobedient just like hie brother Austin. I do not think Austin is disobedient though. It is fun to watch Cameron swing on the swings with his new brothers. He has a sweet laugh. Full of fun and himself. I hope he always stays like this. Or he could get cuter.

Shingles!

Hey guys. No I did not put shingles on the roof or anything, but I do have shingles! Ok, you are probably wondering why I would have shingles if I'm not going to put them on my roof! Well to tell you the truth shingles are not only something you put on your roof, but they are also an after virus of the chicken pox. My mom said you get it if you didn't have a very good immune system when you had chicken pox. Which apparently I didn't. There are good things about shingles and there are bad thing's about them. The good news is I can give little kids chicken pox so they don't have to worry about getting them when you are older. The bad news is that it HURTS LIKE THE DICKINS!!!!!!! If I were to bend over to get something or somehow make my shirt move from it's regular position it hurts really bad!!! It has to do with my nerves. It makes them really sensitive to anything. If you want any of your kids to get chicken pox or have any advice on what to do about the pain PLEASE tell me. Well, I'll talk to you later.

The Win

Hey you guys! Yes I won, I'm so excited. We won 6-0. My team did so good. I also saw some of my friends play. It was the Maines and the Maxwells. They won too and I want to congratulate them. And if any of you that are looking at the blog and you have had a game and won congratulation. Saturday

Hey tomorrow is my next soccer game. I am so excited!!!! I love to play soccer. It is my favorite sport. The weather is not going to be the greatest, but it is going to be better then last week. I am very glad of that. Oh for those who do not know what last game was like just scroll down a little and read the post My Soccer Game. It will tell you all you need to know. Please pray that it is not muddy and cold and windy out. I do not like to play soccer out in that kind of weather. Before my game I am going to my brother Daniel's game. I am so excited. I have not seen him play yet. Then during my game Amy is going to be playing her game. I am upset that I do not get to go to her soccer game. I really like to watch Amy's soccer games. A GREAT reward!

Today I got paid $15.00 for babysitting some kids from Life Action! I babysat them about a month ago. The Wilsons (they're the parents of the kids that I babysat) have three wonderful children. Mrs. Wilson is having a baby and was very sick at the time! She is now doing fine! She asked me to come and babysit the kids while she took a nap! It was soooo much fun!! If any of you want someone to babysit your kids I would be more than happy!! Oh and you DON'T have to pay me! I LOVE kids!! So being able to play with kids is payment enough for me!!!!!! Gotta go!!!

My next soccer game's

Hey there it's me again, Emily. Someone commented on my post and asked me to tell when my next soccer game is. I have a game on the 19th at the Buchanan Middle School at 12:00. My next one is also at the Buchanan Middle School, but it is at 3:00 on the 26th. There are the next two games. If you want to now more then please leave a comment and tell me. Hey it is Daniel. On Saturday I had my first soccer game. My team won and the score was 3 to 0. I made the first goal. My team' name is workingperson.com. Our color is black. My coach said that I was the best halfback and he would not move me from halfback.

A Perfect Sunday!

Hello again! Today my family and I stayed home from church and had a GREAT day together! The reason we stayed home was because my dad had to cook breakfast and lunch this morning so my mom didn't want to go by herself with a bunch of kids. Hahahaha! Anyways we stayed home and all morning all of us kids watched movies. Then when Joel went down for his nap we all listened to a message of Tom Harmon!!!! He is VERY VERY good! Then we all watched another movie. Now we are about to eat and listening to Jonathan Park!!! Jonathan Park is a drama series!!!! I highly recommend it to all of you parents that have kids that are having doubt about there faith or want to learn more about the evidence for creation!!!! They are awesome!!!!!!!! I LOVE them!!!!!!!! A very good friend of mine bought them for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have practically memorized them all!!!!! Oh and by the way I CAN'T STAND science, but this stuff is fun!!!!!!!! Soccer Games

Hey it's Emily. Yesterday was my first soccer game. It was cold, windy rainy, and very muddy. It was not the best weather to play a soccer game in. My game was at 3:00. So it was not as cold as my brother and sisters game. They had games at 12:00. It was much colder then. I am glad that I had a game in the afternoon and that I did not fall in the mud. A lot of people fell and were covered in mud from head to toe. It was funny to see how many people were really muddy and how many people were really clean. Sometimes our feet would get stuck in the mud and we could get out. Our feet would sink into the mud. Sometimes It was fun to sink in the mud. Like when we were on the side lines we would play in the mud. It was fun. Oh if you are wondering my team won. We won 1-0. It was awesome. I was so excited!!!! I almost had a goal but I did not shoot hard enough. Next time I will be sure to kick harder. Amy, my little sister, played soccer yesterday and she won. The score was 3-2. A wonderful visit!

Hey just so you all know my orthodontist appointment fine!!! I'm doing fine! It wasn't as bad as normal. To tell you the truth it was GREAT!!! Mr. Chad (that's my orthodontist's name) said that I was ahead of schedule!! He even wants to take pictures of me cause I'm doing so well!!!!! I also had Kelly working on my teeth this time. I normally have Megan doing that. Well I have to go. Thank you for praying for me. All of you who did!!!!

Braces, Dates, Movies, and more!

Okay, how many of you have had braces? Did you like them? How about your orthodontist did you like him/her? Well I have braces and I don't like them or my orthodontist!!! Okay, they aren't that bad I just have a hard time taking care of them and my orthodontist pokes me and pinches me and everything else!!!!!! Just kidding. He's not that bad. All the other people who had him said he was really great. So maybe it's just me. I don't know. I have an orthodontist appointment this afternoon. Please pray for me!!! I have a hard time not crying when he rips my mouth open and stuff.
Well now for more exciting news!!! Sasha Childs is coming over to babysit us tonight! My parents are going on a date. Yuck! They are going to go out to eat and then they are staying in one of the cabins! All of the kids get to stay home and watch movies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How exciting is that?!! LETS PARTY!!!!!! Hey if any of you want to send your kids over you can!!!!! Lets make a night of it!!!! Just kidding!! Poor Sasha!!!
Hey Annalise Maxwell did you win you soccer game? I hope you did!!!! What color is your team? For all you other people reading this. Annalise Maxwell is the daughter of my former coaches!!! My friend's and me.

Well, hi there again. It's me Emily. Well, Saturday I was playing outside with Wyatt Sutton, his brother Hayden, and my brother Joel. I was having so much fun with them. There was a retreat of teenagers here. So a group of s were coming up the hill and I was holding Wyatt Sutton and one of them started to talk to one of the other s and said, "Oh that baby is SO cute I just want to hold him and I want to babysit him everyday he is just SO cute. Ah that baby is cute." I just started to laugh. Then a little later a different group of s came up the hill and started to talk to the other just like the s before. I was holding Wyatt again and she started to talk, "That baby is SO cute. I want to babysit him all the time. He is cute." Then she walked away. It was very interesting. I was glad to be with Wyatt at that time. It made me feel good.





Well also on Saturday Ashlynn Reeva and I were playing soccer. We were having SO much fun. Ashlynn accidentally kicked the ground instead of the ball. She hurt her toes. I felt really bad for her. But she said that she was OK. So we kept on playing.
And today Sunday the camp got a big soccer game going. It was so much fun. Ashlynn and I played. Our team won!!!!! This is Ashlynn and me. I am on the left and Ashlynn is on the right. Well got to go talk to you later.
